ZLK: Sure didn't... it didn't even occur to me.
FinalStryke: If you like shooters, then Hey! in Akihabara is by far the best place to go. You can see it's location in my akihabara map. Other than that... there's some impressive arcades in Shinjuku, and to a lesser extent Shibuya, but those are better for fighting games.

Well, I tried Exelica at the show, and I didn't like it that much.
I found the graphics pretty bland (backgrounds in Shienryu Explosion look a lot better!), the ship was kind of too slow for my taste and the scoring/capturing enemies bit works a bit like Space Bomber. Good if you like Space Bomber, I guess, but I personally DESPISE that game.
Anyway, don't take my comments for gold though, I only gave the game a whiz once and I'm not the quickest when it comes to figuring out a shooters' game system. Even I think I might like it better given some more play.

Yes, I saw that. Planned to comment on it earlier but I didn't want to post overly negative things about what is (hopefully) an early build... I still think the game has potential if they put a lot more work into it.GaijinPunch wrote:You guys know I posted a video of Exelica, right? You can see the bad graphics for yourself.

You know, no matter how hard you try, you can't prevent people from doing that. In the end, you can't actually force people to read your stuff. I blend the videos with the text, but I only do that because I like the effect that creates.
I mean let's face it, not everyone is interested in reading 3,000 words about your trip to Japan or my day at AOU. Sometimes, all we want is a few pictures and a couple of videos. We are dealing with video games here anyway, not existential philosophy.

Tiny for the most part, but even the biggest booths pale in comparison to what you'd see at the TGS. Remember, a lot of this is aimed at arcade operators. Half of Sega's booth was medal game crap.ill6 wrote:Out of interest how big is Caves stand compared to Namco, Sega, Capcom etc. .
