The former. (and then I think he brought up Kamui again?)Squire Grooktook wrote:I'm guessing he just copy and pasted someone from the LGBT thread, or did he actually share something private about someone?

Was Manabu Namiki just having a laugh? (if it was indeed he who put the sample in. Is he known to use samples in his work?)Sumez wrote:The quote sampled in the Halloween Town music in DeathSmiles is taken from a "sexploitation" movie about rape.

Reminded me of Cyber-Lip's "I'm a goner" as you drop off the screen.
Can we have this as the coda to the thread? It's over, it'll never get better/worse than this. It's come full circle back to page 1:BIL wrote:Posting about posting/posters: keep it to a minimum, kids! It's not all about you FFS!

That slow burn in this thread since late December is something else. Obviously ag99 had something on the mind.Ed Oscuro wrote:Took me a long time to realize that you don't win anything on the Internet for posting.
Speaking of late realizations, until now I always heard the quote as"the mind of man rests on a delicate balance between reality and the world of light"Zen wrote:Was Manabu Namiki just having a laugh? Trying to resist going full conspiratard here but (if you know the film) thats an oddly specific reference
Then again, it appears to get sampled a lot, so maybe it was inserted "just cause it sounds cool". Also, the classic 80's tv horror series Tales from the Darkside, comes to mind. It featured and intro that while not as eloquent, has obvious similarities.

I'd be honoured. ;3 However, what should the ending BGM be? Here's a couple I've thought of:Ed Oscuro wrote:Can we have this as the coda to the thread?

Well, it doesn't. Someone must've edited the quote too.even the quote in the reply has been blanked out. I had no idea this site even worked like that.
I was about to make a post joking that people would come to this thread to announce their realization of atheistgod's ban. Didn't think it would start this soon.copy-paster wrote:Just visit to the shmups chat and realize that ag1999 is getting banned.
Okay I'm out of the loop now, but holy fuck why ag1999 gets banned?

I know it's a Japanese patent and nigh impossible to challenge there, but didn't Virtual On Cybertroopers did it first in 1996 with dithered flashing textures?iconoclast wrote:This is both a late realization & a thing that annoys the hell out of me: Konami held a patent on camera tech that makes walls transparent when the camera passes through it. So any game that did this had to ask and pay Konami for it. http://www.j-tokkyo.com/1997/A63F/JP09299613.shtml
The only real issue with Ninja Gaiden's camera (which everyone loves to complain about) is that it doesn't do this, and today I learned that it's all Konami's fault.
