other PC danmaku vertical shmups like touhou

so i am new to the doujin shmup scene...
i love all the touhou shmups.
can anyone rec. games like them? that is, games with heavy bullet spray and maybe a bonus of great synth/trance style music

You should try Samidare.
Visionary Wings is nice, too.

yes i am sad i only could get the trial version of both those games so far... but thanks for the rec. i liked samidare am going to try the other game too

boy the wings game looks a lot like touhou

could never get visionary wings to work...

anyway, try twin seeds.
its really fun, and a full game as well. also, if you are feeling daring there's Radio Zonde and Hellsinker, though the latter is a demo on closer inspection...

All those are exellent vertical shooters.
