Has anyone played or have been playing this? I knew of it but a few days ago it popped up on sale on PSN so I took the bait.

I've really enjoyed it. I hadn't heard about all the patching and early build issues till AFTER I started playing this week. It's current state is very well polished to me. It's had a very good challenge and I'm on the last boss now. Really enjoy the aesthetics for the most part. Reminds me of Castlevania looks wise of course but also a bit of old PC pixel art... except it moves smoothly.

It's been tough but it all feels thought out and balanced to me, at least in it's current state. They are doing a physical release on PS4 (includes the soundtrack) if any are interested. I preordered it last night (actually very early this moring).

I'm curious what BIL would think of it and others in general on here.... regarding it's most current build that is.

Your comments echo everything I heard about the game. Supposedly it was pretty shitty when it came out, but greatly recovered from a bunch of patches to the point where it's apparently quite enjoyable at this point.
Curious, I ordered the "Signature Edition" physical copy. Not gonna start shipping until next month though, so I'm holding out. Hopefully they included the fully patched version on the disc.

I've played it a bit, just past the second or maybe third stage. Been distracted by other things, but I'll get back to it eventually.
