Hello,
after I finish a game, the screen where I enter my initials shows always "1st". Also when I'm 2nd or whatever. But then, when i check the highscore board it shows the correct rank. Is this a bug?
I've noticed it only happens when i start the software and play a game. Then it shows alsways "1st". But when i finish a game and start a new one it shows correctly.
Does somebody know why this happens?

I'm mainly thinking of mushihimesama, but I assume dodonpachi is similar on steam. Is what you are seeing the TODAY's scores leader board? I recall one or both of them show a leader board of today's best scores, so perhaps that is what you are seeing.

Yeah because of the way they save scores on the arcade board it gets reset often.
I usually save my best scores as a replay and compare with that.

Yeah the enter initials screen seems to act like todays-ranking. otherwise the highscore list work proper. anyway i use the steam version mostly for training. the mame version is for my real scoring sessions.

It's funny, because the Steam version is way more accurate than MAME, and it probably always will be.

If it's like Deathsmiles, there's a Today's Ranking and an All-Time Ranking. I forget how you see the All-Time Ranking. You have to wait or press a directional button when that screen comes up, or something.
