Help needed getting XII Stag Limited Windows to run....

Post by dave4shmups »

Has anyone else downloaded this, because I have and I cannot get it to work-or even to respond at all.

After you unzip the file, inside the folder there are two icons for the game; one is full screen, the other is not-I've clicked on both of these, and nothing happens-not even an error message. :?: I know our PC has all of the requirements for running this game.

There is a "Read Me" File, but I can't read Japanese.

Any advice would be welcome.

Download the latest binary from here:

http://www.xmission.com/~nate/glut.html

This game as well as Trizeal LIFTING need glut32.dll to run. Not sure if you put it in windows/system32 or the game folder.

For some reason this isn't stated on the XIISTAG Limited download page, but it should work.

I have xp and it worked without any effort.
Perhaps the required file, the previous poster was talking about was allready installed by another program or could've been included in a Microsoft xp update?

I put the binary file in the replay file in the XII Stag folder, tried putting it in the bindsest folder, and the game still won't work. I have no idea what else to do with this binary that I downloaded, or how to get this game to work. The binary isn't something that can be installed; it's just downloaded onto my desktop.

I just downloaded the latest updates for Windows XP and it still won't run. :?: :?:

In the "read me" file, it says that you are supposed to build the glut dll using Microsoft Developer Studio-I don't have that on my PC.

Also, I only downloaded the Binary-do I need the source code as well??

Captain, try calibrating the controller (in the control panel). Also if your pad has any hats, rudders etc. set them to a neutral value.

Even if it's digital, Windows generally still sees it as an analog controller. I've had the same thing happen w/my digital Saitek pad.
