Nanaca+Crash: Beat up some guy for distance
Nanaca+Crash: Beat up some guy for distance
"This is not an alien life form! He is an experimental government aircraft!"
I spent a good part of the weekend playing this. At best I got a bit over 3000 meters. Friend of mine does over 8000 meters. And I heard somewhere (Megatokyo, maybe) that somebody has done 14,000 meters...
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Woo, new personal record: 7469.43m! Somehow I triggered a special event that would Boost the guy every time he hit the ground. I like how after many, many runs of this seemingly simple game you still find new stuff.
Works great as a 10-minute distraction from work, too...

Which could be faked (for not nearly worth the effort to do it), but yes. I guess it's mostly weird to me because I still can't get over the notion behind the game--hitting a guy as far as 50km [I've heard so far]... That, and it took me so long just to figure out I could do things to affect distance besides the initial impactcrithit5000 wrote:You could always take a screenshot...

For those who may be curious, Nanaca Crash uses anime characters from an adult PC game called Cross Channel (site NOT SAFE FOR WORK).
Currently, my high is 8219.42m (I posted the screen shot on my web site).
Here's a translation (not my translation) of the controls and how specials work:
#1 Angle + Power:
First click chooses the angle. Hold down mouse button to charge.
(Tip: For the most power, let go of the mouse button just before the meter fills up.)
#2 Aerial Boosts:
Aerial boosts can only be used when the "Aerial" sign lights up. Lights up in 2 colors, either red or blue.
To use an aerial boost, click anywhere on the game screen when the "Aerial" sign lights up.
Red = Upward boost. (You get only 3 of these per game)
Blue = Downward boost. (Unlimited, but has to be charged up each time. Charges when "Aerial" sign is lit or when the guy is flying in the middle of the visible sky.)
#3 Specials:
When you hit a girl who's portrait shows up under the word "Special", immediately click the mouse button.
There is a 5th special called C.F.F. (Cosmic Force Field). Can only be used after you hit the "blocking" girl.
Hope that helps.

I'm a little confused about the Block Vs. C.F.F. Special. Fatal Error's translation is pretty much what I had been able to infer on my own. I've been trying to get the C.F.F., but I have no idea who I need to connect with after the Block girl. The portrait next to the C.F.F. is not one of the people on the street, and I can't tell when she pops up. I got it one time during a moment when my attention lapsed, so I didn't get the Special.

You're arguing for a universe with fewer waffles in it. I'm prepared to call that cowardice.
