The gadget and control settings look about as in-depth as I had hoped, and there's save-states too, 30 slots per game mode. This really will be the definitive version.

All that's left now is to wait the last couple days

When I google searched it, for some reason websites were saying December 12th. But yeah, you're right. So I got all excited and now I am ready to die.

Audio equalizer settings, wow. I don't think I've ever seen any game include that.

Depends how it's implemented. If it still lets you record scores this way, it basically ruins the game. They did that with Fantasy Zone 2 on 3DS.

That's good to hear, but I think my concern is legit considering how they implemented free hard saves in Fantasy Zone 2, which trivialized scoring/survival outside of Link Loop Land.

it's just for practice/learning and they'll be disabled for scoreboards

you can literally do the same shit in some cave ports, just start a replay and press a button to take over the controls which lets you TAS to an extent

I assume this is going to be like most other PSN releases where I can log into a JP account and use Paypal to buy it and still play it on an NA PS4.

yes, which reminds me I need to set up an alternate email and PSN user for Jp region. There are some walkthroughs on how to do it, but I think it's gotten slightly more involved with a recent update.

I have been procrastinating on figuring this out, but I am hoping I can just do the following:

1) login to the same Japanese account I have saved on my PS3,
2) put in the download code,
3) click the Add to Library button (or whatever button comes next after putting in the code)
4) Log on to PS4, check library, download to PS4

Any guess as to whether this will work?

Well, as long as the same JP PSN acct. you have is on your PS3/PS4, yes, it'll still work.

you can't buy things on JP PSN without codes, so no.

Yeah from my experience, paypal or cc hasn't worked on JPN PSN and I've had to use a gift card code every time.

It may be possible (but yea, doubtful). There are guides for getting ps3 joysticks working in a small number of ps4 games if you search around. I don't have a ps3 stick to test though so someone else will have to try it.

I just bought a brook 360/xb1 -> ps4 converter for $40 and tested it on dariusburst which did the job with my hrap ex-se.

edit: they have a ton of super converters for different consoles -> PS4.

It is up right now, and I'm downloading it as we speak. No one bodies is prepared for this. The price is high (almost 4,000 yen) but worth it for the audience it is aiming.

Played for a little bit. If anybody knows, I was wondering if the default presets are what they should be for score play. Also wondering what all the changes are in premium mode... you have autobomb, which makes things a lot easier, but the tradeoff is that there's fixed rank (something like 5% for each stage) that never diminishes. So it's initially pretty friendly but gets pretty wild, I guess. I was hoping for something a lot crazier, but then again I don't know enough about the deep down Garegga stuff to notice anything that's not super obvious.

Not huge on the colored bullets, tbh. I do like the first alternate setting, which makes them *slightly* more visible, but doesn't substantially change them. Instead of being rust colored, bullets are a silvery blue. Kinda nice without ruining the feel like flashing purple bullets do.

Other than switching the secret characters on, is there anything I should be fussing with? Also, how do you guys feel about the different soundtracks?
