Jap ps2 import discs on ps4?

I see confusing info on net about this. Can i ditch my ps3 and magic swapping ps2 for a ps4?
I want to play my physical jap discs and lightgun games (via topgun) on one console...nevermind the jap acct thing, just want to know about physical disc. Net says ps4 is region free?

The PS4 doesn't support PS2 or PS3 discs at all.

The only "backwards compatibility" the PS4 has is:

• Certain games that were specifically ported to run on the PS4 and released digitally. Since they're "ports" they're usually upscaled and have trophy support, so you have to buy them separately.
• There's also Playstation Now which is a for-pay streaming service that has a lot of PS3 games on it.

The PS4 is basically universally region-free for PS4 games.
