Probably already mentioned but this is good, fucking intense, can't stop watching (15 eps straight, yup).

I don't remember the last time I've enjoyed watching an anime series this much. Now I just hope it stays this good to the end.

Currently watching Dr. Slump because Arale's going to appear in the next DB Super, apparently. I didn't know it was as old as it was, but it's really funny! It's nice to watch something light hearted for a change to break from all of the serious/heart wrenching stuff I've been watching lately.

It eventually starts to get a bit stale and old, but, much like Meguca, the world never stops hating the protagonist.

Having read all the isekais there are, from The Neverending Story to Michael Jackson and Nixon Kill The Moonmen... the complete antithesis of that, the worst isekai there is: Kou 1 Desu ga Isekai de Joushu Hajimemashita. Just a gutless world, with no ballsack. It's pretty important that the entire world doesn't exist to serve the protagonist, at the very least.

Something I was o-k with that is kind of... remotely like reZero is Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers. Slightly arty-stylized (especially the monsters). Generic pastel grimdark jRpg characters who hate each other. And bicker and backstab each other constantly. Overly complicated xanatos gambits that don't make any sense.

(One thing I've noticed from my current love of Korean deathgame webnovels: Why the hell isn't there a single anime where the protagonist is a necromancer? It really doesn't make any sense that that isn't a thing that exists.)

Fucking slow, nothing plot-worthy until at least episode 8.
So far it's mostly about teenage poseurs lives (98% manga and anime, yes I know), bloody boring shit, if it doesn't get substentially better by ep10 i'll drop that shit.

The visual novels are produced by the same company, but the same writer isn't involved. (They also did the lovecraftianish Saya no Uta and the Phantom. Saya in particular is way too extreme to get an ova, let alone a series. Still, they're making an effort to be too mainstream imho.)

As I've mentioned numerous times, Chaos;Head has some mildly interesting dark serial killer adventure and mindfuckery stuff, before immediately flushing it down the toilet. The ; series is overall massively flawed. The most humiliating defect of all is that most of them have violence as the solution to the climax. I'm sure if you wanted to watch Naruto or Dragon Ball, you'd be watching Naruto or Dragon Ball.

(Don't... don't even get me started on the difference in romance between Steins;Gate and Robotics;Notes.)

(Pretty much my recommendations always go along the line of "watch Meguca Maduka or Time of Eve and then stop watching anime forever." From that year I experimented with it, the hit rate was lower than 10%.

Now I'm all about pogs.... I mean, korean deathvideogame novels.)

I've had to completely reverse my opinion of Occultic;Nine since I started watching it - the first episode was paced horribly and had dialog going way too fast to be normal, but from ep3 onwards it got better for me, especially as someone who likes stuff like The Twilight Zone and The Dead Zone.

I might give the other shows a miss given the opinions stated here though, apparently Robotics;Notes made a butchery of it's original content.

Oh man, the American translation of the Dragon Ball manga is just good for laughs! Chapter 23, the morning after Goku destroys Pilaf's castle as a Oozaru, Oolong asks: "So WHAT is he...Some kinda space alien?"
Only the portuguese dub of the anime is better in terms of "WTF what they saying".

Characters act like real people, for once, unlike most silly romcoms or vn's. You really don't have to watch the first season. The music is nice though, since apparently it takes place in the 80's.

Reading I Am A Hero, which is zombie thing with zombies. Been in my queue for.... probably two or three years now? Anyway.

It's a bit shocking to read something where the characters act somewhat like actual fucking human beings do, for once. Am I the only one disturbed that so much media is a cartoon version of reality? That goes double for Hollywood movies. Is it because people are terrible and we hate them, so we relate more to stripped down and idealized cyphers and trophies and foils?

Part 4 general as a whole feels smaller in scale in comparison to Part 3 where the gang travels around the world to find and destroy the vampire nemesis of the Joestar family who is planning to conquer the world, as opposed to finding a serial killer in some coastal city.

So I've watched some of... Naruto (Sheep-udon).

Why the fuck ?
Because I remember watching the anime a bit maaaany years ago when it was new and hype, and well, I was curious to know how it ended.
Since the shit was fated to get stretched into a thousand episodes, I've waited like ten years then read a detailed seasons/arcs summary of it and cherry picked only what was -supposedly- worth watching.

- The good thing is that if you really only take what's 100% relevant to the core plot, it's a relatively quick watch, somehow the equivalent of a regular 25ep anime (could be even less with even more stric selection)
- Everything is revealed so you're missing almost nothing for having ignored it 10 years.
- It settles the story of the very main core protagonists in a good way, you're not left with a "so what did they do about that thing which was fucking important at the beginning?"
- Some select crucial 'battle episodes' feature very good animation, especially at the very end with some of the best animu slugfest moments I have ever seen, quite long and honestly impressive when you think about how much they've invested into it (better be since it's probably a billionaire franchise). Not always the same animation studio/team apparently, gives a bit of welcome variety.

- The bad thing is that even among those relevant episodes several are filled with flashbacks, or shit like 1 attack move = 1 episode (a la DBZ) fucking infuriating.
- Way too much feels at times
- But the worst thing is; when you though they finally got the bad guy... (follow in spoiler)

...it turns out that bad guy A (Obito) was being used by a bad guy B (Madara) who was was in turn being manipulated by a crypto-bad guy C (black Zetsu), who's the servant bitch of bad girl D (Kaguya).
You wait ten fucking years to finally learn who's the evil mastermind, and they don't even give you time to enjoy his evilness because he's replaced every few episodes.

...big let down on that part.

So it's not too bad, there's a real ending for the heroes, real good animated fighting moments...but the plot itself turns weak. :/
