US Sega Saturn Fake back Art
Anyone know how commonly Saturn back art is faked? I recently bought Burning Rangers and the back art is very wavy, almost like water damage but with no discoloration. I pulled out some of my other games and the art on the back is flat as can be. There is a crack in the case so maybe it's some sort of moisture issue? I've just never seen the art look like that before.

I picked up most of my sega cd and satrun collection nearly a decade ago and I saw plenty of artwork inserts that are as you described. I wouldn't be too worried but for $20-30 you can pick up a small book loupe and you will definitely be able to spot if your inserts, manuals and labels are fake or not. With the amount of fakes going around in vintage gaming it is worth the small investment.

Wavy back covers seems like a fairly common occurrence. I'm not sure what causes it--maybe excessive exposure to moisture, I don't know. Your copy is probably not a repro, just one that wasn't stored in the best of conditions.

You can spot photocopied artwork pretty easily. Look for any small text on a single colored background. If the edges of the letters are sharp, it's likely to be genuine.

giantw3nis, How many forums did you post this question on?
As you become familiar with US Saturn games; and as was mentioned elsewhere, you will find the moisture/humidity wavy paper back-art insert is a common issue.
