Sony PVM 9042QM vs 9045QM

Hi all, I plan on buying a small 9inch PVM, mainly for (LAN-)Partys. I like the convenience (small size, lightweight).
It will be used with a wii, RGB input.

I've found a good offer for a 9042QM, however, the resolution is only 250 lines. There exists also a model with 450 lines, the PVM 9045QM.

So I would like to hear your opinion, how noticeable will the difference be on a 9inch screen?
Should I get this offer, or wait and hope that a 9045QM (or similar) will soon show up in my area?

If the 9042 is in good condition, the difference is noticeable but not huge. You can never really tell how often these are going to come up. I'd grab the 9042, and then if a 9045 becomes available grab that too. You can always sell the first.

IMO the 9042 is worth about $25-$50 Australian at most. But prices are going up, and sellers are getting narky. If you don't grab it, someone else might. Up to you, really

I've had both models - the 9042 looks crap IMHO - the scanlines look weird as it creates a weird vertical effect.

Thanks, I will get the 9042 now and see for myself, eventually getting a better model if I'm not satisfied.
They rarely show up in my area, but when they do, they are around 15-30€ here.
