Guys
I apologise now if I shouldn't be posting this and will happily remove this if required.
I'm a tetchy 49 year Scotsman playing video games since '83. I have a little YT channel where I basically play old games, talk about old software houses and generally ramble on. Anyway one of my 'features' I started recently is looking at all arcade shooters letter by letter. The reason for posting is someone commented on the latest video asking if I'd shared these here and said people may enjoy them. Anyway, if it's your cup of tea you might enjoy it. I should warn you now, I'm not the greatest at games so dont watch it expecting to pick up any playing tips!
cheers Mamemeister (Alan)

Re: The A to Z of Shmups
Heh... I just came on to the forum to post this very topic!
It's a great series. I'm up to the letter B just now and I'm really enjoying it. It's nothing too in-depth. Just someone playing through most of the shmups available in MAME and sharing some thoughts.
I've been watching it in a window while doing other bits and bobs on the computer and taking notes of games that have caught my eye. My favourites that I hadn't played before are Armed Formation and an old SEGA game with lots of talking in it (can't remember the name offhand).
Anyway, I recommend it if you're in the mood for something shmuppy without the depth of STG Weekly.
Oh, and welcome to the Shmups forum, Mamemeister.

Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.
