I'm sure we have people in here who watch anime, for me I've been watching it since 1984 growing up as a kid living in Hayward California, where a majority of the networks were showing US and Japanese animated programing, some of my first were Voltron(Go Lion) and Robotech(Macross)
But some of my favorite types are action, mecha, sci fi, and fantasy. one of my all time favs from the 90's was Street Fighter II the animated movie, to this day that anime is still bad ass to watch, so what are the ypes of anime you watch

Re: Your Favorite Anime
I quite like gasaraki as a more recent anime:

Always liked the first two Patlabor anime.
I prefer the manga but hokuto no ken is one of my faves.
Again, I prefer the manga but nausicaa is pretty good.
My favourite may actually be Laputa as an anime.
I may well have forgotten many of the good ones that I have seen too
