Anyone tried the RetroFreak w/ Manual Lag Test of 240p Suite

Hey there,

In terms of CRT gaming, I get less lags from Normal emulators on my media PC, followed by my XRGB-Mini which adds a little lag (nothing that gives me any issues) and then the RetroN 5 which has the worst lag ever.

I was wondering, when using the Manual Lag Test of the 240p Test Suite, how's the lag with the Retro Freak Console?

So you're saying that they couldn't have tweaked it to make it better than the RetroN 5?

The Retro Freak (on it's initial FW) felt a lot better than the Retron (on it's initial FW), but I don't know how the Retron5 improved upon it's early days.

I can confirm that using the RetroN 5 and it's current firmware update still lags like crazy, I miss my usual well timed jumps in Super Mario. The 240p Suite Manual Lag Test shows me horrible results too.

The Manual Lag Test in 240p Test Suite has very little correlation with the input lag of the display. I'd say in fact that it measures your reaction times.

You can get a perfect 0.00ms score with the laggiest set in the world.

Well ya, if you cheat, learn the lag rate and time it, but it you really just press when you hear the sound or when you see both images go on top of each other, then you're playing fair.
