Abadox 1LC run and Review

Alright everyone, this video was meant to be out weeks ago but due to that nasty hurricane down here in Florida, along with my computer crashing, and then a corrupted save file for my video, I was delayed. But I salvaged it! And ended up with a new PC to boot.

Anyway, since Abadox is such a short game (I finished it in about 15 mins) I decided to go back to my old style of video. Meaning I did my produced/review section first and then went straight into the 1CC run afterwards. Roughly the first 6 minutes is the review, although it's more me experimenting with effects and animation ideas I had. I went with the off the cuff approach (since people seemed to like it on my last vid) of me talking about the game on green screen and then added all sorts of things going on around me. It was a fun little video to produce, although probably the most technically challenging I have done, for many reasons.

The run itself on the other hand is one of the easier ones I've done. Abadox isn't too difficult once you are fully powered up, but of course the challenge is staying that way.

I hadn't planned on doing this game so soon, but since I recently got my NES modded for RGB I figured I'd give it a shot. As always, any feedback or suggestions is always appreciated! Thanks!

I don't know if I can evaluate your commentary, but I liked the visual effects, and the run is of course impressive. I've died plenty when I've played through Abadox, and since it uses checkpoints, I didn't realize the game was so short. Fifteen minutes is about the same as Salamander.

Thanks man! And yeah, I hadn't planned on doing this game anytime soon so my commentary was all totally off the cuff. Because of that, I decided to just mess around with animation and effects throughout the video to keep people entertained. Not my best work, but a fun little vid none the less. Thanks for watching!

Cool video! I actually just 1LC'ed this game last week. And it's funny, I play it almost exactly the same way as you, going for the speed kills, etc.. I could never figure out those Stage 6 green flame things either. However, I find Stage 7 pretty easy; easier than Salamander's at least.

Thanks! And yeah, stage 7 was easy until I started recording! LOL. I think I just got really nervous every time and that screwed me up.

But yeah, those green flames were the BANE of my existence... UGH!
