??? Is there anyway I can keep the memory card portion intact to double as both, or do I need to just cut the thing in two like the guide mentions? Thanks for any help out there

Any1? Homemade microSD-to-GCcard
As I patiently wait for my B.A.C. GCkit to arrive, I might as well finally get familiar with Swiss/GBi. Has anyone done this seemingly simple mod? I figure since I have spare parts floating around, why not go for it, save a few bucks from not using ebay+shipping. Since the SDLoader kits have long since sold out, all I will need to buy is a standalone Action Replay disc once this is complete. I found photos from this site and figured I would give it a try. I made a gallery of my tools layed out here. The benefit of using a microSD adapter is I do not need to go ahead and buy an SD socket, since the adapter is technically a microSD socket and people who own microSDs should have tons laying around collecting dust.

I have no idea what I was thinking then.. maybe some time back they were out of stock or something? Anyways, my point still remains that I might be able to save a few bucks by just finding a disc only of AR online or in the wild and make my own card. Thinking maybe <$10 as opposed to >£19.99 with s+h?

of course - go ahead. I really just wanted to point it out. And yes, you're right, it was unavailable for quite some time.
