Under Defeat + Refurbished Dreamcast
Play Asia is offering Under Defeat and a Refurbished Dreamcast as a special edition, anyone knows how this DC looks like?

from what i've figured out from PA and the segadirect website, it's a standard japanese refurb'd console. nothing special about it at all.agony wrote:Play Asia is offering Under Defeat and a Refurbished Dreamcast as a special edition, anyone knows how this DC looks like?

^I'm not sure what Jp Dreamcasts go for in Germany, but I've been able to find a couple here in the states for around $35. $150 (for the game, DC, and poster) seems a bit...excessive.
True, you do get a poster with it, but still...it seems like it would be a better deal to buy Under Defeat from PA and a used DC from someone else. I think you'd save a bit of scratch.
Just my personal two centavos...

I found mine at a garage sale for $5, sans AV cable. $12 for an AV cable & $30 later I had Gunbird 2 & GigaWing for DC shmupping goodness.
For some reason, these systems are easy to find cheap - probably because of the fact that many people dumped them when they realized Sega wasn't going to support them anymore.

That's a nice offer. I'd pay a bit extra if that means no more swap disc hassles. Yeah it's minor but when you're other consoles are hooked up and ready to play anything I often find I just don't bother.
Now if only they bundled some sticks in that package I'd buy for sure.

My local Gamestop sells used DC consoles for cheap $30 USD
The last time I checked at my local Gamestop, they had a few used "bundled" Sega Dreamcast console packages with no game for a mere $30.00 USD. I bought a 2nd DC console as a "backup unit" in case my 1st DC console should go kaput. It's fun to play the few linkable DC games that do make support of the twin console setup with DC link-up cable setup (mainly the VO:OT & Ferrari racing games).
The PSX has a bigger selection of games to play in linkable mode with two PSX consoles with link-up cable setup IMHO. ^_~
