Anyone been to arcade club in Bury, UK?

Going tomorrow for a kids party, just wondering if there's any rare gems in there not to be missed?
Arcade Club Recommendations
Re: Arcade Club Recommendations
It's amazing. Spent most of my evening between Ghosts n Goblins, R-Type, DDP DOJ, Bombjack and a goddamn hydraulic Outrun. Seriously never thought I'd get to play one of those again. They rotate the games I believe but there's a bit of everything. Mr Do, Battlezone, Tron, Crazy Taxi, Turtles, various Street Fighters, Rolling Thunder, its just amazing. Enjoy.

A fellow pie eater
Yes it was amazing, i went straight for R Type first, there were so many great games, spent quite a bit of time on Qix, frustratingly addictive, was loving Atari Star Wars too.
Definitely going back there.

I went there earlier on this year, great place! If you were born in the late 70's (78..) and you remember when arcade were in abundance or frequented seaside arcades in the late 80's/early 90's then you'll love it. Also they have beer! £2 for a 440ml can of Carling is a pretty good deal. I'd hadn't played Final Fight standing up drinking Lager since the days nightclubs had Jamma cabs.
*The joystick on the Nintendo licenced R-Type cab is shockingly bad. It may be decent for 4-way games like Donkey Kong but for R-Type is ain't.

There are a few like that, the GnG stick tripped me up a few times, as you said R-Type was a bit shitty and there were one or two others. But, they're making the machines available to kids which I completely agree should be the case (even if the OCD inside of me could cry) and it's got to be difficult to keep on top of them all. And as mentioned, being able to get a few beers while playing is a definite plus. Need to go back and reclaim my OutRun.
