Taito is readying a more powerful version of NESiCAxLive, simply called NESiCAxLive 2.
Some developers who will make games for it are G.Rev, Examu, FK Digital, Square Enix, French Bread, & SNK.
SNK will bring out an arcade version of King of Fighters XIV. I'm guessing it might get one or two extra teams, tougher boss AI, and hopefully 4K support.
Of course most of us who don't live in Japan probably stand a snowball's chance in Hell of finding a NxL 2 unit, but this is big news nevertheless. What if SNK ports their NxL 2 version of KOF XIV to PC, and you can play it in 1440p or higher?

Kinect? KIN NOT.

Why? The cabs don't support 4K and probably never will because it's unnecessary and overly expensive.gameoverDude wrote:and hopefully 4K support.

Yeah, there's not much of a point for 4k support for those units at the moment. A 1080p/1440p is enough to do the job; I'm just hoping that the platform gets some good original titles.

I'd settle for 1440p. That would upgrade it over the PS4 version, at least until SNK patches the PS4 version to support 4K Pro mode.
With nVidia DSR, the game could render at 5120 x 2880 and downsample nicely to 1440p. AMD has a similar feature called VSR (Virtual Super Resolution).
Admittedly, a 4K monitor in a 43" size would easily add $1000+ to the cab price and probably cause owners to raise the price per play.

I'd be incredibly surprised if they had it running in higher resolution than 1080p. There's just no reason to.
