I have a 100Hz Trinitron I use primarily for movies and some CRT (KENSTAR S2001CU) I found in the attic that I use for retro gaming since my crt monitor went bust. Currently I have an HDMI-to-VGA converter and VGA cable going into a video converter box from the graphics card. S-video and Composite cables feed from the converter box into the Trinitron and other respectively and I have set up the following modelines in Powerstrip for each display: Spoiler
Now I'm wanting to switch from using composite/s-video to rgb scart but I can't seem to get it to work, though, I'm clueless and pretty much winging it here. When I connect either TV to the gfx card with a vga-to-scart cable I just get static that flickers when I switch modelines and a mild buzzing from the tv speakers. Any tips?
The resolution you're showing is 480p at 56hz. I'm not sure any game runs at that combination (maybe Mortal Kombat 4?) and it's definitely not standard for any TV I know of.
You probably need to read up on CRT Emu Driver and stuff like that to get an idea of the timings you're supposed to use here. I always use 640x480 interlaced and 320(ish)x240 progressive. That's for standard definition NTSC displays though.
