I did an RGB mod to my TG16. The colours look amazing and the picture is clear, but I'm getting some interference on the picture. I see some vertical bars that speckle a little bit. It's not jailbars; it's a lot more irritating. I don't really notice it on my pvm (it's there a little, but not enough to be annoying). I really notice it through my frameister. There's also one super thick horizontal line in the middle that stands out when using scan lines on the framemeister (know idea why).
I'm using Tim's AV-Driver board. I closed jumpers 1, 2, and 5 on the rgb signals Jumpers 1 and 2 on bias are closed. All my connectors are made to the expansion port on the TG16. I've removed the rf modulator and put an 8 pin din (the one Tim gives out with the NESRGB boards). I'm also using audio through this din. I'm using an original TG16 power supply. I've tested multiple games.I did not do the jailbar fix (since I don't have the parts). I'm using the sync pin from the expansion port rather than composite video for sync. I'm also using the diy scart connector from Tim's website. I've tried connecting it to the framemeister using the scart head and straight to the mini din port on the framemeister.
I tried switching to composite video for sync and it made the problem worse (and I started having sync drops on the framemeister).
Here's a link to some pictures (http://imgur.com/a/GaoSQ). Sorry about image quality. Not good at taking pics with my phone.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Where exactly are you tapping 5 VDC and Ground? If you pick the wrong spot you will get those types of artifacts.

I took the 5 VDC from the expansion port pin A2. I took ground just from some spots on the board (not the expansion ports) near some screw holes.RGB32E wrote:Where exactly are you tapping 5 VDC and Ground? If you pick the wrong spot you will get those types of artifacts.
Where should I take 5VDC and Ground from?

This would be my recommendation:lechu wrote:I took the 5 VDC from the expansion port pin A2. I also recommend closing bit 0 on the 4 channels and bias as well.

Nope, didn't fix it.
Where do you tap power for your multi-out? I'm going from the expansion port to both the driver board and then my 8 pin din. Could that be the problem? (I'm a noob, sorry if that's a stupid thing to do/ask).
Edit: Forget that last point. I tried two different spots and it didn't make a difference. Ugh.
