Underrated games

Post by No_not_like_Quake »

Kind of a blah topic but I feel like mentioning games that either are forgotten or got bad reviews at the time or now but I think are good.

Vice: Project Doom: I dont remember many people talking about this when mentioning top NES games. This game is freakin awesome, IMO, with Spy Hunter style shmup stages and side scrolling stuff. It all controlled wonderfully and well, it had parallax scrolling backgrounds! :P

Traysia: fairly good Genesis RPG no doubt pissed on by gamers who only played it for 20 minutes. Despite the shit graphics, even for Genesis, it's quite good IMO, just give it time. Great music a decent cutscenes too.

Astal: I find this a shining example of good 2D, despite the pixelization with some of the scaling. It was a bit kiddy and easy but it was a fun platformer IMO. Excellent music also.

Apocalsyp for PS1 it may look like like crap at first glance but this is a very fun game it,s constant insane arena shooting and quility platforming make it really standout. It also has funny corny voice-overs,and last but not least BRUCE WILLIS!

Another one is Cannonspike for DC absolutly every review I,ve read of this game was negative, sure the aiming system is crap but If you can deal with that you,ll find a great action game Pskyo at it,s finest.
I did great so much water and milk that I threw up when I was little.

I remember Apocolpyse. 3D contraish game but not bad. I remember it was one of the first games... and I haven't noticed many others... that had FMV mixed in with the polygons on monitor type things in the game.

Nothing special gameplay-wise, for sure, but considering that it only sells for a few bucks, I found the price worth it just to gawk at those graphics. Absolutely beautiful 2D stuff.
