Need help with Extron RGB Interface (203rxi)

I seem to have a few issues when testing it. I'm using a CPS3 board hooked up to my supergun (uses LM1881) which normally gets connected to my monitor via BNC with no issues. When connected to the 203rxi, "NO SIGNAL" appears on the display and the LCD doesn't seem to awknowledge what's coming from the supergun. The buffered monitor output appears to work fine (it only seems to work with input #1, not sure if this is intentional) and connecting that to my monitor shows the expected RGBS signal coming from the supergun.

I've tried every combination of the DIP switches and the internal jumpers (except the video clamping one) and can't get this thing to sync properly. I've tried with a few different monitors as well (L5, 20F1U, panasonics). The closest I've got is with all sync processing disabled, but it still has a bunch of issues, which I find odd.

Interestingly I tried the interface with a high res VGA source from a laptop to the 20L5, and everything seemed to work fine, and the LCD on the interface awknowledged the 47.95khz signal. I highly doubt it, but could it be that this unit doesn't play well with SD stuff or I got a dud? I believe I tried all the jumper configs but it came set as sync follow from the factory which should be the correct setting anyway.

I only really have 2 proper BNC cables on hand right now so I'm just using green and/or sync for these tests

What's your goal ? I mean why are you running a 15khz 240p signal through the interface just connect it to the same monitor again afterwards ?

My goal is to convert the RGBS coming from my arcade boards/consoles to RGBHV for use with my capture card (XCAPTURE-1) which seems to expect RGBHV. I would also like to use the interface to convert RGBHV from a MAME PC I'm building to RGBS for use with my monitors. In the second case, the buffered RGBHV monitor output will go to the capture card while the processed RGBS is supposed to go to the monitor. I will be treating the MAME pc like a 'console', i.e. its only going to output native resolutions and all capturing is going to be done externally by another computer. I may also use the interface for the faux 240p from 480i content on other consoles as you described on your site.

I was only running the 15khz 240p signal through the interface just to determine if the interface was actually working properly. I don't have the MAME machine setup yet and all the cables but I figured I could at least verify the interface worked by running my board/supergun through the interface to test, which I didn't seem to have success with.

The supergun I'm using is the one RGB made (the HAS). I confirmed with him and he said the LM1881 is actually only used to generate vsync for timing the autofire feature, and doesn't actually do anything with the sync. Could it be possible that the interface is having problems with the sync coming directly from the arcade board?
