I never figured this would ever make it out of Japan, but apparently Ouendan is going to be getting an English release in Europe. No word on whether that means it'll reach the US as well though (but it's easy enough to import stuff anyway that it's not too big a deal if it doesn't.)
Ouendan to get a European release
I´m very curious about how this turns out. I´d have probably accepted any bet this game will NEVER be released outside of Japan, because it´s so incredibly hard to localize. Do they plan to keep the music intact? What about the animation sequences? It´s all so tightly connected, I just can´t imagine any part getting ripped out or deformed by translation.
I do lean on buying it when it comes out, though, to encourage further ports of "weird" games, although I consider Daigasso Band Brothers to be the better game overall. Ouendan is unique, but not very deep.
