Yes, I mentioned it before - but comparing the 2.0 euro vs 2.2 US, the disparity is HUGE, look at those numbers I posted again. Something is not right here ;-)

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the cost of gasoline in the UK and Europe at least double what we're paying in the states? If so, that goes a long way toward explaining why automobiles would need to be more fuel efficient. Forget government regulations, I'm talking about wallet regulations.

Yeah - just confuses me why identical cars should give such different figures. Our gasoline is about $7.50 per US gallon right now.

Never mind fuel. How are you going to make the Playstation 5 and the 500th style iPod. I wonder if plastics from plant oil will ever be as good as crude oil. You don't want to get an XBox 1080 and a few months later there's a mushroom growing out of it.
"When we were talking to one of the executives at the BBC. And he said, 'Now hold on, this man is so incompetent why wouldn't he be fired?' and I said 'Go and take a look around this building. Just go and knock on a few doors.'" - Ricky Gervais

If it was a Nintendo system, it be the kind that makes you taller when you eat it.

Well, taking into account the US vs. UK gallons, and if your numbers are highway numbers, the 32-34 mpg (US) for the US Focus (highway - 26 is city) * 1.2 = 38.4 - 40.8 mpg (UK). Unless my assumptions and/or numbers are wrong, it's not too far off.

The one I quoted was overall average - city and highway mix.
