Just do what you need to to make the grade. If your teachers will listen to your points then great but in my experience most of school work was just an exercise in identifying whatever hoops you need to jump through in order to win the game, whether it's predicting what kinds of maths problem you'll have to solve, making sure you reference all the related artists you reviewed in art, or writing essays that tick all of the examiners boxes. Thinking for yourself is great but you won't be rewarded for it until a little later down the line, so play their game for now and don't let your opinions on this internet stuff hurt your chances in the real world.

So, have any of you guys played Rev 60? It's supposed to be ass, and I'm sure it is. But I'd love some hands on experiences.

Oh, and a bunch of posts back, someone said this isn't really a GG thread anymore, as it is about SJWs.

Well, GG isn't really a thing. But what it did, was wake TONS of gamers up to SJWs. I mean, honestly, most gamers wouldn't have cared about this shit one way or another. For one, I would avoid political stuff like this, like the plague.

So, as while GG isn't really a thing...most of the people who were involved are still doing the same stuff. Fighting the SJW menace. Basically, gamers "got woke".

Even though the media will say GG is dead, they certainly namedrop it a lot, when they want to talk about the horrors of the internet.

But yeah, the people of GG are still out there. A lot of the big names (Milo, Sargon) are more popular than ever. It just seems like a lot of the gamers have focused their attention to the "bigger picture". Before, most of us didn't know why journalists were talking all this weird shit, and ragging on games and fans. Now, you know it's just symptom of a much larger problem.

And as for "telling my girlfriend" about GG. Well, I have told all of my female friends about it, and even my mom and sis. So, I'm not ashamed of it to any degree. The anti-women thing was a fallacy.

As a game: I've not played Revolution 60, nor do I ever plan to. Much like a turd glimpsed from afar, which could in theory prove to be delicious artisan chocolate upon closer inspection, I am totally okay relying on honed judgement in dismissing Rev60's blend of "female friendly" spacebar-mashing QTEs with what appears to be a North Korean-made MMBN clone for elderly survivors of massive cranial trauma.

Forgive me this indulgence, fellows. If any of you doubt my standing amongst our community's great-hearted aficionados after this, I understand. Also the last boss cannot be beaten without mouse control due to a game-breaking bug so heads-up. Patch coming "soon!"

As a longplay: Recommended! Half of the game is a fugly CG movie broken up by riveting exercises in tapping the spacebar and typing things like "U P L O A D _ V I R U S" so really, you're not missing much there. The MMBN battles are actually kind of empathetically painful imo, in the same way a gut-wrenchingly brutal horror movie kill might be. I'm no gorehound nor much of a kusoge hunter, but I do dig the effect in small doses. (｀ω´メ) Tonight, thank god it's them instead of you.

Too blandly unremarkable to be a real classic of the kusoge form on its own strengths (to borrow examples from other media, this is most definitely no match for The Room or Sonichu). However Brianna Wu's personal history is a tale of perving incompetence to rival that of Chris Chan himself, so imo Rev60 just about edges into the lower tiers of this sadistic, sacred ground.

I recommend Harmful Opinions' archived stream. Doesn't finish the game, but it'll still give you more Rev60 flavour than anyone with functioning taste can comfortably withstand.

"Female friendly:" Brianna Wu is a perving, talentless con artist who uses women as a convenient excuse for making shitty videogames. IDGAF about bottom-feeders like Wu, tbh, but commiserations to female gamers nonetheless. The surgically, pharmaceutically and behaviourally-constructed paragon of femininity that is BWU claims we menfolk are button-hammering troglodytes, so please don't feel alone in being slandered.

3 to 4 hours, I think. Here's a complete playthrough of the IOS version. The player was deliberately failing QTEs at several points, but most of 'em just give you another go. Interactive!

edit: oh wow, Brianna's jaunty, fuck-awful "remix" of Star Wars' Cantina music that plays during "exploration" segments wasn't in the IOS version. Much easier to leave a longplay running in the background while doing something else, to enjoy the "female friendly" catty snark! Such enhancement, Rev60 SPED indeed.

People are crazy there, it's nothing new. This is how it always ends when "progressives" are allowed to bully anyone who doesn't agree with everything they say into silence.
