one of the first pc shmups i ran across was baroque shooting, and after i found out it was based on an established console game, i became intrigued. after a bit of looking, i found myself very interested, and decided to track down a copy... and then i forgot about it for a few years.
however, a few questions as the game is japan only.
1) i know absolutely no japanese. so i know i won't be able to enjoy the story and what not, but as a dungeon hack, and an atmospheric game, could i still enjoy it?
2) to any that have played it, what do you think?
3) any extra details on the depth of the japanese language in game will be appreciated (menus, items, etc). i'm going to go ahead and assume that the in game text is all japanese.
and really the only reason i can justify this game still being on my radar is its current price. the saturn version commonly fetches $20 on ebay, and i've seen copies here and there for as low as $10. in general, i'm thinking this might be something cool as a curiosity now, and something i can actually enjoy and digest later in life, when i become the best japanese speaker in the universe.
edit: also, are there any differences between this and the ps1 version? graphically or otherwise?
edit edit: plus the packaging is the shit.
i want you to look at the following link and tell me that you aren't touching yourself... liar.
