Dreamcast > PVM Extron Equipment Question

Greetings!
Although I know this is a somewhat common question, I'm looking for an answer to something pretty specific. I have an OG Hanzo VGA box, and want to be able to use it on my PVM. I know one option is to utilize something like a Extron Emotia or VSC. I was wondering if the Extron RGB series would do the trick without any other equipment, specifically the RGB 201 RXi.

The Hanzo has a 15khz output setting. If you connect the Hanzo with 15khz enabled to the Extron interface, the interface will convert the RGBHV signal to RGBs for you, which you can then feed into your PVM.

Awesome, thanks for the straight forward answers. Is there any major differences between, say, the 202Rxi and the 202xi? On Ebay, it looks like the 202xi is a bit cheaper than the Rxi. I'm having a tough time identifying the difference between the two.

Yo Beharius! I've considered it, and it does offer all the features I need (and more), but since I literally only need the ability to connect it to my PVM, it's a bit more than I'm willing to spend.

The 202 doesn't have a standard HD15 input (but a 9-pin Barco style RGB input), so I would stay away from that.

Why convert it? why not just use a dreamcast scart cable? I have one and it looks great. wouldnt the processing add lag?

Yeah, that's another possibility, I just figured the additional functionality of the RGB would be nice, especially since it isn't all that expensive. I would need a JP21 pin out, though. Do you know of anyone that sells quality Dreamcast SCART cables? Is there anyone on the forums that builds cable?

Ask retro_console_accessories on ebay if they could build you one. she usually doesnt carry dreamcast scart cables because of the VGA box, but does sometimes custom build cables for customers.
