Hey. I've done a full commentated playthrough of Oblivion's main quest without killing anything. With sys11 member JWS co-commentating.
It was a real challenge to figure out a method for bypassing fights and beating sections that are designed for combat alone. I may have had to cause a death here and there..
So check it out if you're interested, and if no one is then let the thread be buried
Cheers!

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Pacifist Play
That was a good watch! I'd forgotten the great potential of silliness this game has, but it's also good to see it played with such purpose. Never seen that before.
Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Pacifist Play
I started watching and it is pretty good so far, will definitely try to watch the whole thing.
Even got a new avatar
"Dammit, it's that prisoner again, he might be working with the assassins."
"Oh no"

Re: Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - Pacifist Play
Haha, I was wondering about this the other day. Seems to me that Skyrim wouldn't allow this, but I'm also having some trouble imagining how it'd be done in Oblivion. Lotsa Healing Hands spell use?
Ironically I have no ideas what you guys are talking about with Castlevania LoS
1:23, somebody was roleplaying Karras from Thief 2
And finally, is it just me or has this game's populace aged more badly than the people in Morrowind? Those were some famously fugly models, but wow, I'd forgotten how bad the generated faces in this game are.
p.s. fuck the Thalmor
p.s.s. (edit): haha, Baldrick. "We need to find a soul gem, yarn, and some lettuce, and we've only got three days to do it"

Yep, the spell spam is constant. Mostly running around being invisible the whole time, you're supposed to be an accomplished illusionist (lvl50) before being able to do that but I sat in the corner for a (cut out) two minutes spamming a low level illusion spell and that was enough.Ed Oscuro wrote: Lotsa Healing Hands spell use?
Patrick Stewart's character is your ally but also narrator so it's like he's following Gabriel Belmont around.. it becomes increasingly creepy. My memory is a bit fuzzy but this might've been deliberate.Ironically I have no ideas what you guys are talking about with Castlevania LoS
I'm actually experimenting with Fallout: New Vegas atm to see if a similar feat can be accomplished.

Obviosly no one really cares but I beleive the full story of Patrick Stewart in Lords of Shadow 1 is:Blinge wrote: Patrick Stewart's character is your ally but also narrator so it's like he's following Gabriel Belmont around.. it becomes increasingly creepy. Spoiler
He poses as your ally but is in fact one of the Lords of Shadow (basically Death) so any creep in his narration could probably be argued to be intentional
Anyway I'm up to the third part. I've enjoyed most of the jokes but I guess with something like this you just have to roll with the punches.

Yooo. Got another pucifist run for you. ^_^
This time I went for Castlevania - Symphony of the Night, with co-commentary by our very own Illyrian.
I've defined pacifist as no kills except unavoidable bosses.
No glitches or sequence breaks.

I'd like to do more Castlevania stuff in future if this is received well.

there may or may not have been a skeleton incident.

Must get around to watching this, seems like the perfect thing to have on while I'm getting stuck in to my uni work.
I promise that is a compliment.

Hey, got a new one for y'all...

I've really scraped the barrel this time. Illyrian and I are looking at the 2004 flash game, EmoGame 2
Terrible gameplay, immature humour, the occasional funny. Come on down for a great time, maybe.

Well, that was... an experience.
Reminds me of why I refuse to remember those days when I actually played Newgrounds games.
