almost all VPxx failures are PSU related. Also you can reset the machine by unplugging the power from it's back, hold down Menu and Exit on the front and plug in the power again while doing so.

I tried, but nothing.... The led is now black, and impossible to display anything. When I plug the VP50, there is a strange Whistling...

I'm pretty sure that your PSU died.

Have someone who knows what he's doing have a look at the PSU.

Or purchase a replacement

If you want to fix the existing PSU, you need to recap it. But replacements for the VP50 are easily available for about 20-30 EUR.

I don't follow. The VP50 has an external PSU and in yours the caps went bad. So either get that caps changed or just get a new PSU. These are cheap and easily available.

it's really common. All the VPxx PSUs fail.

Then the problem is not on the VP50 board, but inside the external PSU ? Sorry for the misunderstand !

That's right - just replace the external PSU. Same happened with mine - they are very cheap (£15 in the UK).
