Do you turn your Framemeister off?

Post by thebigcheese »

Seems like a silly question, but do you? I only asked because I recently picked up a Harmony remote (finally) and I'm not sure how well it's going to handle turning it off, since the power button usually has to be held. I'm sure there's a way to make it work, but now I am also thinking of running my two HDMI consoles through it as passthrough so everything is in one spot and I'm wondering if it's really even necessary to ever turn it off.

You save like 2 watts by turning it off. Depending on how much electricity costs in your area it might or might not be worth it. It's around 4.50€ per year where I live, but I use a physical switch to power off all the entertainment stuff because I rarely use it.

0.68€ per year here... Your power is very expensive!

Yeah I'm not worried about the power, worried more about wrecking the box :p
