Any news on [Ubusuna and Natsuki Chronicles]?

So whats the story?
Is there any news on...
Ubusuna?
Natsuki chronicles?

It was ubusuna, natsuki and raidenV.
I was pretty sure any of these titles would have pushed me to buy a next gen console however the only one to materialise was raidenV.

The gameplay of raidenV unfortunately just does not excite me enough to justify buying a console for which I do not know if any other worthwhile shooter will ever be released.

If it was either of the other two mentioned I would buy in a heart beat but alas raiden just doesn't click with me in the same way the other two games likely would.

Probably gonna take flak for this but I just don't care enough for the plain speedy bullets that raiden delivers...
Just not my scene really, and I'm easy to please...

I know from trawling the net that there has been no news or updates but this place is different. People here are fanatic enough to know or reach out to developers or music composers.

So what is the word on the street????

Is there any hope or are these titles just vapour ware at this stage...?

Aye, shumps are pretty much like heavy metal or electronica to me at this point. Good stuff certainly does still appear, but I consider it a bonus. There's already more than enough classic material (in a myriad of subgenres) to last a lifetime or two.

I have Fire Arrow Plus (2 caravan shmups) lined up for September/October and yet, I'm working on something bigger but I probably won't announce it until end of 2016 and it probably won't release until Spring 2017, so yeah unfortunately Zenodyne R is the only major release from me and the rest of the team this year.

Iuchi announced Ubusana with the caveat that it'd be a long time before he/they were going to start talking about it or showing it off. (It was announced as a PS4 game, just so you know.)

I have no idea what's going on with Natsuki Chronicles or Triangle Service's Shooting Love Trilogy.

I don't know if it was mentioned here but Gulti is working on an original STG for PC, too.

I'm making a shooty game too that's a spiritual successor to Dangun Feveron and Cho Ren Sha 68k. Aesthetically it's a spiritual successor to Dragon Spirit/Saber.





I'm almost done with the first stage, just creating one more bonus enemy wave, and finishing up the boss. After that, a few tweaks and bug fixes here and there, and I'll be ready to send out the first stage demo to people here for feedback.

I wish I'd asked him now about Eschatos and Ginga Force potentially going backwards compat.

I really hope it does. That guy is super talented. His game design is the best imo. Ikaruga is not my favourite game to play but i cant help but respect and admire the gameplay and art design. Even if I find some of it to be just too damn difficult but no doubt the man is a genius...

It's been 2 years since Ubusuna was announced; it would be nice to at least see some material evidence of the project to dismiss suggestions of vaporware. At least the ShotTriggers line shows that M2 shoot 'em up releases on PSN are actually happening.
