Best MAME cab/multicade dealers?

Post by JBC »

There doesn't seem to be an updated & all-encompassing thread for this so if I missed it, sorry.

I was wondering who the best pre-made MAME ready arcade cabinet dealers are in the US. I've found a few websites using Google with some acceptable looking models but oddly little customer feedback or forum discussions about them.

Who's the most honest business with the highest quality machines? Are the Multicades or machines with licensed game packs easily outfitted for MAME? Who offers the most flexible customization options? Anyone had any positive/negative experiences with these dealers or cabs they'd like to share?

Should be a great resource for those who have little time for the DIY route. Thanks!

Generally speaking, MAME cabs don't seem to have the best reputation among enthusiasts. I've heard much talk of sketchy salesmen convincing the uninitiated to gut old and valuable cabinets, replacing the innards with outdated MAME packages. Doesn't sound like something I would endorse.

Nah, I'm speaking of legit businesses like North Coast Customs & X-Arcade. Stuff like that. I'm pretty sure most of their stuff is original.
