That's ok. I can't add more sage advice to this thread. However, if you ever get a dog, don't name him syndrome.atheistgod1999 wrote:Sorry for calling you all retards.

In all seriousness, I think your incorrect diagnosis for autism may actually be incorrect. You do display several signs that could potentially be autism, based purely on your posting habits.

Autism is on a spectrum. It's not a linear spectrum, and it does not decide the things you like to do, nor the exact extent of your ability to detect sarcasm.atheistgod1999 wrote: I understand why you might think that, what with me textwalling and giving unnecessary details, but if I were legitimately autistic I would probably like solving math problems and RTSs. I would've also probably thought people were being serious in that old thread when they said I should prostitute myself.

Educate yourself, thats a pretty huge misconception of the disorder, 99.99% of people on the autistic spectrum dont exhibit any special gifts of that type.atheistgod1999 wrote:but if I were legitimately autistic I would probably like solving math problems and RTSs.

All that's happening in the thread right now is bad. You can't self-diagnose everything and you can't diagnose at a distance either. It's also generally a really bad idea to blog about mental health issues.
Even a well-educated person can get the wrong idea about what their issues are and especially how severe they are or aren't, so you should consider talking to a psychologist. They'll help you develop a strategy for understanding and dealing with whatever troubles you.
We really can't do much here, this just isn't the right forum for this kind of support.

No one's going to read that blog. And people on forums will not only read, they'll respond.

Re: I'm depressed
Symptoms of anxiety and depression can come and go. You still need to see a psychologist so your problems are understood and so you can get some tips on coping better.atheistgod1999 wrote:I'm not even depressed anymore, FYI.
Don't listen to anybody saying that you need to write here, on a blog, or anywhere else. You're lucky to get any good advice, and you'll not want a record of your teenage anxiety (if that's what it is) forever on the 'net.

I actually was since May last year for anxiety and impulsivity, but just stopped yesterday because me, my parents, and he all agreed I didn't need it anymore.Shoryukev wrote:^^^THIS!!!Ed Oscuro wrote:Symptoms of anxiety and depression can come and go. AND SOMEONE LOCK (or better yet delete) THIS THREAD!!!!! SERIOUSLY!!!!!!
It was bad enough being known as the naive, immature, shitposting teenager of the forum. Now I'm known as the naive, immature, shitposting, mentally-unstable asspie teenager of the forum.

And besides that, people now hate me even more

Re: I'm depressed
Well, one last comment from here. Your first goal should be to feel better about yourself, not for other people to feel better about you, because you can't control them directly. How other people see you will shift based on how you're doing. Let's be real - you really don't have big things to be upset about, like having let your health be destroyed, or wasting all your money on booze or gambling. You don't need to argue with your feelings, but whenever you feel guilty or silly, just remember that in reality it's not a big deal. You're still alive, and plenty of other people - including some of the most successful people - have not only had worse happen, but they've also done all the silly things you've done, and they ended up doing just fine.atheistgod1999 wrote:It was bad enough being known as the naive, immature, shitposting teenager of the forum. I still think that you should consider going back for more counseling if you can answer yes to either or both of these questions:
1.) Do you still feel not in control (or getting worse)?
2.) Do you feel like you understand what you're doing?
3.) Do you know how to plan to improve your lot?
If you stopped going without having a basic understanding of how feelings of depression and guilt can spiral out of control, even against reality, then I would say that the psychologist has not helped you learn the most critical skills of being self-aware and planning. If this is self-criticism it needs to be "positive" criticism. You need to remember what your goals are - to find a way forward.
Depending on what kind of health insurance your folks have, you may be covered for many free visits to see a counselor.
