How to find a Bvm and Pvm technician

Post by peterwright1234 »

My bvm has a slight horizontal jitter that seems to act up more when I adjust the brightness and contrast. I want to find a technician to service and calibrate it and my other monitors but I'm not sure where to look. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area. Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do? Do you think a consumer crt technician is qualified to work on pvms and bvms?

If you've got the service manual I think most electronics engineers will at least be able to look at it.

You could try this website: https://pro.sony.com/bbsc/ssr/services. ... ions.shtml

They have listed a phonenumber for any questions about where to send an item for repair. Looks like San Jose is the closest to you of the listed locations.

I know sony_broadcast_service on ebay service professional monitors.

It's run by a guy named Stephen Gill who is working at a Sony professional products repair center.

He is listed at the bottom page. But looks like he is located in LA, which starts to get pretty far.

Good luck
