Another day, another killing (split from US shootings topic)
Re: Another day, another killing (split from US shootings to
Meine Fresse... like our idiot PM said it seems we're going to have the weekly killing, and a massive one once every few months.
Apparently there was more than one shooter here.

Like I said, it's better to get used to it already and abandon all hopes of improving the current situation. Because in our current state, nothing of actual use will be done against the constant attacks due to nobody being able to agree with eachother until either populists come in power, or people decide to take matters in their own hands. Considering how I have no hopes left in humanity, I'd bet on the former.Xyga wrote:Meine Fresse... like our idiot PM said it seems we're going to have the weekly killing, and a massive one once every few months.

I'm not quite sure why Europeans governments are obsessed with importing the third world.
You have millions of them in your countries. You're going to have problems with the populations you have now. Why the need for more?
Also, they really need to step in and make sure they're not spouting anything too nutty in these mosques. Which they are. From what I can tell from Europe's hate speech laws, it would certainly fall under that.
The law doesn't seem to apply to Muslims, in some EU countries.
All this "multiculturalism" is going to turn places like Germany and France, into Israel. Nice country but getting attacked all the time.

No, I was going to, but it would be pointless, there's way too much you don't get, I'll just leave you alone in your simplistic world.

That's fine. Last time I got into this, I was compared to some far right nationalist or something.
It's not my country anyway.

OK, I'll just give the standard left wing response. "Islam is a religion of peace. And this kind of thing will just keep happening. Do you think it's any coincidence that the Islamic world, is a fucking hell hole? And almost all the atrocities, or human rights violations, are directly linked to their religion. Hell, Isis are Islamic.
But I guess they aren't "real Muslims". Well, there's a whole shit load of fake Muslims fucking up the Middle East. The real Muslims had better get motivated.

There, you're showing your crass ignorance and saying the exact same stupid bullshit the hardline conservatives and far-right say all over the world, and you don't want to be called that ?

Danke Gott im Himmel!
The shooter had no ties to IS and our immigration policies couldn't have been indirectly responsible for this attack, turns out the attacker was just a lone wolf! Phew!

Instead of pointlessly hoping that the shooter is white, people will be hoping that the shooter is just a lone wolf now, lol.

Just because I'm not a fan of some intolerant ideology, doesn't mean I'm right wing.Xyga wrote:There, you're showing your crass ignorance and saying the exact same stupid bullshit the hardline conservatives and far-right say all over the world, and you don't want to be called that ?
Anyway, right wing, in the U.S, isn't the same as in Europe.

However, things haven't gotten any better, since the last time we spoke about this. In fact, they're much worse.
So...ummm...best of luck. Keep that positive attitude.

Jesus titty fucking christ. Left wing doesn't mean giving every religion a free pass. Especially a religion that is anti-liberal to its core.evil_ash_xero wrote: OK, I'll just give the standard left wing response. "Islam is a religion of peace. Terrorism has no religion".
How would you describe the (far) right in Islam countries then?
Your definition of left wing is a bit convenient for you, to say the least.
Although I consider "left and right" to be dated and wholly inadequate terms. Colloquialisms used too frequently.

That's just the state of things today. That's why I say "left wing response". And that is what you will hear from almost every "left wing" outlet.

Middle east states are hellholes for the same reason Africa is: pityless exploitation by the west. It's much easier to steal resources from areas that do not have strong governing. It has nothing to do with Islam.

I can see this happening in places like Nigeria, but don't oil sheiks have a larger say over the oil trade in their own countries than Western corporations? Are all Middle-Eastern states that dependent on oil, or does the West manage to exploit them in different ways?trap15 wrote:Middle east states are hellholes for the same reason Africa is: pityless exploitation by the west. EDIT: In addition, aren't we all getting exploited by The West? You'll have to be more specific than that.

i've heard you say you're left wing quite a few times, but pretty much everything i've seen you say is centre right, or just centre maybe. i don't really know a great deal about politics in the US, but here the labour party was traditionally the left wing party of the country, but over the last 20 or so years has just been just a lite version of the tory party, very centre/centre right. i'm guessing a similar thing might have happened in the US and you have just forgotten what left wing values actually are.evil_ash_xero wrote:I'm left wing. Left-wing, right-wing, chicken-wing, I don't care. I don't understand why people are so eager to plaster a label on anything, it adds nothing to the discussion and is just there to have people draw preemptive conclusions about you. Just stick to yourself instead of finding each label possible for yourself so you can dumb down everything to just labels. I'm more of an anti-labelist myself.Immryr wrote:i've heard you say you're left wing quite a few times, but pretty much everything i've seen you say is centre right, or just centre maybe. i don't really know a great deal about politics in the US, but here the labour party was traditionally the left wing party of the country, but over the last 20 or so years has just been just a lite version of the tory party, very centre/centre right. i'm guessing a similar thing might have happened in the US and you have just forgotten what left wing values actually are.evil_ash_xero wrote:I'm left wing. generally i agree with you, but EAX has said so many times how left wing he is that it seems that he really identifies with that label, which i find strange considering all of his views seem at odds with it.
Re: Another day, another killing (split from US shootings to
It's all scrambled in people's minds today yeah, in recent years I've met many people saying 'im left' and saying stuff absolutely identical to the right's, sometimes even the far-right's, almost never the other way around though.
No surprise parties aren't worth the tiniest fuck anymore as well, politics and people mirror each other, the 21st century so far is all about destroying what the previous centuries built...without creating anything new nor improving.

Maybe for Europe. Bill Maher has very similar views to the ones I am spouting.
And if anyone says he's not a liberal, they're idiots.
Why on Earth would I be tolerant of a culture that executes gays, treats women as second class citizens, has no religious freedoms, is incredibly anti-Semetic, still performs female genital mutilation, has honor killings and acid attacks...the list goes on and on. The Middle East is a fucking Hell hole to most Westerners.
For me, it's outrageous to consider myself a liberal and to be tolerant of something like this. If this was some sect of Christianity, it would be demonized consistently in the media.
Oh, and here's another one.
