R-Type Series Memorabilia / Collectables

Post by JesDaMess »

Hello I am an avid collector of r-type memorabilia / promotional material. Im posting to share knowledge and see if anyone else has anything cool I could possibly be missing. I have managed to collect quite a few "not for sale" or rare promotional items.

R-type II Arcade Flyer (has hole punch holes)
R-type arrowhead figure (bundled w/ r-type command pre-orders)
R-type III figure (Shooting game historica Vol. 3 Toy collection)

This is apparently a video playthrough of both loops of the arcade R-type. This is a large laserdisc and is about the same width as the flyers. Has really cool artwork.

R-type Final Trial Version (AFAIK this was a mail order only item in japan that Irem sent out for free)

R-type final OST (common)

R-type Delta OST unopened (common)

R-Type Delta Promotional version / reviewer copy (the prev owner from ebay stated this was the full game the only physical differences from a regular japanese version is the orange sticker on the back and the orange "sample" letters etched on the disc.)

R-type Final Display Box

Promotional pamphlet that came with a jap. version of the game I bought (size is slightly larger than the ps2 case so it did not come bundled inside the case)

R-Type Final Mousepad (came with another jap. copy, also larger than the ps2 case)

Some kind of advertisement for the pc-engine port of r-type (has random advert on the back, the material is kind of like cardboard rather than paper.)

Unopened R's Dogtag

I also have a few promotional posters I will upload later when I get the chance to roll em out and take pictures.
Posters I own:
R-type Arcade Promo poster (this one cost me an arm and a leg off japan auction site)
R-type Delta ps1 B2 poster
R-types ps1 B2 poster
Super R-type poster *folded advertisment that unfolds into fullsize poster

There was an R-Type ship that was given out with preorders of the psp game via Gamestop. Iirc, there were a few different colors. I have a black and orange one on myNew Astro City.

I have an R-Type LEO poster but shall have to take a photo. I have a different CD set than the one you listed which is three CDs that includes tracks from pretty much all the R-Type Shmups.

As a fellow R-Type aficionado this thread is relevant to my interests.

Image

I have an R-Type Final Not For Resale Promo version which is, as far as I can tell, exactly the same as the normal version. Also one dogtag, of OF-1 Daedalus.

Image

I have the two larger R-Type models as well as the small Shooting Historica ones. Not the black one that came with the PSP game, though.

Better image of the models.

I have a towel.
