Card for 480p on BVM

Post by Charlie97L »

Hi! Recently snagged a BVM-20G1U and it's missing a few expansion cards in the back.

Which card would I need to get 480p on this model?

The specs from the Sony brochures I'm seeing seem to indicate it can do this, but don't directly specific which module I need.

There is no card that will give you 480p on your model. Resolution capabilities are determined by the model, not what expansion cards are installed. Only the BVM-D and BVM-A series can do 480p, as well as the PVM-20L5. They will have a "multiformat" logo on the top right of the monitor.

Ah gotcha.

Thanks! I suspected but wasn't sure.

Oh well, 480i looks amazing :)

On that note, is it common for there to be slight resolution differences between games on say, a GameCube?

The screen is filled differently between Mario Sunshine and Wave Race - Blue Storm.

Certain GameCube games render at different internal resolutions.
