Here's a 12 min gameplay vid I did today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgrNIzPiYTE
First of all I have to say that I'm not THAT of a shmup connoisseur, and that's probably the reason why I overthrew some basic understandings of the genre like awesome bullet hell patterns and the "one hit and you're dead" dogma ... which makes a wonderful start on the topic

But than again since I grew up with DOS games I always wanted to create a game that had that Apogee Games kind of looking.
I've been working on it almost full time since 6 months now and it's near completion, all art, music and sfx are original.
It has 12 stages divided in around 20+ separate levels, customizable ships, different game modes (classic & arcade), difficulty levels, local 2player support, gamepad support, somewhat 15 tracks of original soundtrack, different pilots, and an ingame advancing storyline, and a few other features.
It introdcues also the concept of pilot ejection. That happens when your ship gets wasted. As a pilot, you still can be able to make it to the next checkpoint, but it is some kind of last effort. In 2 player mode, an ejected pilot can be picked up by the other player's ship.
The thing will be up on Steam Greenlight soon, I'll also be submitting it to some remaining indie conventions this year, one of them being the Strasbourg indie game festival.
So pretty much after that I'm planning on hosting a playable 3 stage demo to let your get your hands on it.
It underwent quite some testing and there are a few things to hammer out.
I hope you enjoy the looks of it and would be glad if you like it and follow it a bit.
Thanks for your feedback & time!
And remember, sharing is caring

All the best,
