How is this related to Dethsmiles? Unless Deathsmiles 2?
I believe it was meant to be a sarcastic comment; showing a video of someone at Cave goofing around with a program while [i}Deathsmiles[/i] is in need of fixing.
Van's was, but Cave's video description mentions Deathsmiles as well.

IIRC DFK didn't have a US release, but I don't recall anything about issues with it's EU release?

take this with a grain of salt, cause i didnt try it in a while so i cant compare

this specific part doesnt slow down as much as it does on 360 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSsPkm04X2c&t=41m18s unless red gauge is full

edit: just tried it, it still does slow down kinda
im just bad at it lol

After enjoying pretty much XIIZEAL, i decided to give a shot to DELTAZEAL too (and to support triangle & degica, haha)
Topics from Strategy subforums here are pretty helpful, as i don't see any in-game demo tutorial unlike Xiizeal (or maybe i miss it?).
Anyway, game is pretty cool, but it feels off and unpolished on some things; like background scrolling is a bit too fast, sound design is pretty weak (i mean, come on, those weapon sounds eh..), and there are some bullet visibility "problems" due to lack of contrast or smth; doesnt look like it's garegga-like "intended", more like bad luck for early game. EDIT: well, a bit not how i say... they are either red, or red/blue combo, just they has pulse or smth that make them difficult on eyes. And shadows are flickering btw.

As always, i'm enjoying music, nice interface (thanks for keyboard remapping!!!); and nice challenge also, i'd say game starts being hot from Stage 3 (as i die there, haha). Just a bit weird feel about controls/weapons/visuals.

p.s.

Speaking of XIIZEAL, how can i reset scores?

And here is the other announcement. So Minus Zero and Shmups Skill Test are coming. What else could be in the future?

Doubt it'll happen given SV's dev's experience with Western fans.

SV on Steam is a nice pipe dream though, given that Western gamers are practically allergic to any digital outlet that isn't Steam, Battle dot net, or maybe GOG.

What's the story behind SV and the western fan base?

Also, any updates on Deathsmiles?

So I picked up XIIZEAL and DELTAZEAL in the Shooting Love Anniversary package. For some reason the XIIZEAL executable was flagged by Symantec Endpoint Protection as containing Trojan.Gen.2 malware. I submitted it, and it was verified, so it will be whitelisted in Rapid Response definitions with a sequence of 179105 or greater.

Apart from providing a heads up to other late adopters of XIIZEAL, I'm posting so that Degica is aware that its Umihara Kawase and Umihara Kawase Shun: Steam Edition were also flagged with the same malware--the latter being reported as early as April 28th (March 1st for Avast). Both executables have also been verified by Symantec.

We are still a few months from the DDP release. We will be looking to put together the beta test team by the end of this month though.

I'm tempted to apply for the beta, but I'd rather the opportunity go to the more experienced DFK players.
Haven't played the game in over four years. Aside from that, my biggest accomplishment with the game is a 1-ALL, which sadly isn't saying a whole lot.

Thanks for the response. Looking forward to an announcement of release date and/or what's included/available DLC. Hope the beta goes well and has plenty of experts.

Be careful if watching XIIZEAL replays. Watching a replay that beats your local checkpoint records causes the replay to overwrite those records.

This isn't really related to shmups so much as it's related to Triangle Service in general, but what are the odds of getting that Pengo remake from Ge-Sen love on steam?

New Triangle Service game called EXZEAL (the squeal to TRIZEAL!?) is coming to steam 15th July. (not noticed it mentioned yet on this thread, if someone then it's my bad!)

http://store.steampowered.com/app/465060

Judging from the description and the video footage the four ships will be taking mechanics from other TS games like the "waggle shot" for example.

Exzeal first came to consoles on Shooting Love 200X for the 360, so it's been out for awhile; look around and you should find ample info on it. :)

Ah cool I can't say I have herd of it. The only shooting love I ever owned was the one with deltazeal on it. TS are company I don't have much history with but I am looking to change that with these steam releases Heh.

EDIT: also Xiistag which I brought on the ps2 back in the day.

Would it happen to fix the problem of the game hanging around 57 FPS in spite of PC specs?

Polish localization and some leaderboard-related fixes it seems.
