Well for months fans have been asking us to do Time Attack/Caravan DLC for Zenohell and Zenodyne R, instead, we are gonna give them two caravan games! Yup that's right, two caravan games, before you get confused, you purchase both products at once and you select the one you want to play from the launcher. Also we added the Fire Arrow ship to Zenodyne R in a free content update :)

Here's the pastied description:

Fire Arrow and Fire Arrow X are time attack (or 'Caravan') style shooters with a heavy emphasis on scoring.

Fire Arrow:
• Enemy waves and various other elements are randomized. Unpredictable special events may even trigger on subsequent plays.
• Difficulty ramps up rather quickly and the better you do, the harder it will get.
• Collect as many medals as you can, as you progress further into the game, they will become more valuable and plentiful.
• Novice, 3 Minute, 5 Minute modes provide varying levels of challenge as well as a potentially greater variety of enemies and bosses to encounter. There is also a special unlockable mode that provides the greatest challenge.
• Freely switch between a wide spread shot (Red) and a narrow vulcan shot (Blue) to better adapt to the situation. Unlock the bonus ship for even greater firepower!
• Along with screen-clearing bombs, you also have a powerful DUAL ATTACK.

NEW to Steam version:
- Redone endings
-Improved menus
-Tweaked gameplay
-Special stage is now accessible by normal play
-All new original soundtrack
-Native gamepad support

Fire Arrow X :
• This semi-sequel expands upon the basic gameplay of Fire Arrow while also changing up some of the rules.
• All the same modes and explosive action... now with more enemies, crazier bosses and even greater challenges!

Fire Arrow and Fire Arrow X are designed by Perry 'Gryzor' Sessions who is a team member in the Team Grybanser Fox

Voted yes.
Steam is a fickle thing anymore. I think a lot of kids on there have this hatred towards anything not 1080 and 3D.
That said a lot of indie guys are making characters that are like 7 pixels wide and using absurdly low resolutions under the theme of "art".
The "indie" (trashy) pixelart movement kind of annoyed a lot of people I think.

I like your spritework though. You've got hue shifting tecnique that looks great. Best of luck.

I caught a lot of flack on my project too for being 90's looking.
I don't know how safe it is to make good pixel art games on Steam.

Just too many kids born post y2k on there these days to get good consistent votes.
More and more I think steam is turning back towards everyone expecting AAA looking 3D titles.
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.

Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana.
The rear gate is closed down
The way out is cut off

I reduced the scroll speed on stage A (ground/grass) to allow for more things to be going on - tank spawners etc. If it's the other stage (lava) you mean, does it look too fast/too slow to you?

The other variant for stage B, which wasn't shown, is actually what I'm worried about as it's pretty busy visually.

The slower speed is great, but what I meant was the short jumps in speed in the video.

Either it's a video issue or the game lagging - which I hope it wouldn't being that I'm building it on a pretty low spec machine. All the background sections are made to move at a consistent speed.

(Be glad I didn't have to record this myself or it would've been so, so much worse)

It's probably my setup as I don't exactly have a wonder of a machine, even if I did, OBS probably would mess up slightly with the timing.

This looks insane! It has bright, colorful graphics that remind me of Grind Stormer and Donpachi. The action looks incredibly frenetic.
