NES Dog Bone Controllers HVC-102 vs NES-032 (Japanese vs US)
Is there any difference between these two controllers other than cord length?

This isn't exactly an answer to your question, but I've used NES Advantage sticks on a AV Famicom, if compatibility is your concern. I've not gotten around to trying out by HVC-102s on a US NES but I don't imagine they would fail.

Not to my knowledge. You should ask questions like this in this thread.

None. IIRC there's an extra resistor or some other passive component in the US controllers due to the cord length. That's all. Otherwise exactly the same.

And because of that resistor, i believe av famicom controllers wont work properly on an nes if you use controller extensions unless you add it to them.
