Sorry, missed that one!Master O wrote:Not to be rude or anything, but if you're gonna post, at least say where it's from.
Considering the first power-up is "Force" it's clearly a crossover between Gradius and R-Type, with Delta being the Delta Attack from Delta.Durandal wrote:What the hell does Delta do?
Do people who play games while sitting like that really keep their hands raised as pictured here? I'd rather let mine rest on my lap.604_degrees wrote:

I wonder if that prototype 32x can play an alternate theme for Garfield Caught in the Act when the Sega CD is hooked up it.BIL wrote:So hawt, a 32-bit MD!(I wonder if it runs Virtua Racing at 60fps like Lou Rawls's secret prototype 32X)
Also from David Production's JoJo anime - not a direct reference per se, but Stardust Crusaders Ep40 adds a nice nod to the classic Xevious logo. The original manga scene uses a generic font - I guess someone's a fan?NeoStrayCat wrote:From Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable Ep.11, seems what appears to look like Gradius here, lol. The Jojo's Bizarre Adventure manga originally debuted in the 1980s, back when Gradius was at the height of its popularity, so it's not surprising to see that reference in its anime adaptation. It's a bit like that Gradius homage in the infamous hentai La Blue Girl.NeoStrayCat wrote:From Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable Ep.11, seems what appears to look like Gradius here, lol. Gradius huh, Silent Hill is a game, not an anime.BPzeBanshee wrote:UFO Ending of Silent Hill: The Arcade.
I LOLed when I saw it, didn't expect it at all.
I assume they are playing a Compile Shmups.604_degrees wrote:Love this AV-switch
Deathsmiles did not expect that?

Viacom got it removed. So as well for some Youtube Poop Videos if I remember well. Indeed, Viacom is strict in copyright and should learn fair use. Bandai might serve the same purpose.ratikal wrote:https://youtu.be/bdI9GdS2iRU?t=201
Not anime, but those are totally R-Type noises being used.
That's like the reverse of CAVE in Ketsui.EVAC.BrianC wrote:That looks like a silver hawk (not "the" silver hawk) on the bottle too.Master O wrote:Sorry for the double post, and while this isn't a parody, it's kinda interesting to see it there:

In episode 6 of the TV series "City Hunter 3" (late 1980s), the bottle says "Proco Tiat" on it, which is Taito Corp backwards, and is also a reference to Darius.
Knowing Yohko, shmups should be her style.604_degrees wrote:
