Hello all,
I actually missed out on this game back in the 90s and have only played it once but what a demonic, evil game - I love it!
Does anyone know why it is rare/expensive? Is it more over it just being a 'sought after game' or was it genuinely rare?

Cheers,
Minty.

This might not be relevant to your question but I can testify that the game is awesome and badass.

Unfortunately for you it's extremely rare (it always was rare, even 10 years ago) and has now become one of the most expensive Super Famicom games because more people found out about it.
Complete boxed copies currently sell for more than $1000.

I can make my own cart or use a Flashcart worst-case, I realise it is a top dollar game but wondered if it was simply down to low print or not.Ceph wrote:Unfortunately for you it's extremely rare (it always was rare, even 10 years ago) and has now become one of the most expensive Super Famicom games because more people found out about it.

I would not drop the cash on it but I would play it all the same.

It's a good game with a great aesthetic, but I wouldn't put it up with the masterpieces of the genre like Daimakaimura, Contra, Castlevania, etc. It's good fun but the gameplay doesn't do anything particularly superb.
A fun enough ride and worth revisiting from time to time though, particularly for dat aesthetic.

Instead I am stuck in the America's where women rule with an iron crotch, and a man could get arrested for sitting behind a computer too long.

anyone scanned manual? in case it has art of monsters

I got a nice CIB copy from YHJ for about £60 approx 4 years ago. There were a few about at that time.
I 1cc'd it about 2 years ago. Fun little game, far from perfect, but sporting an interesting quasi-Altered Beast system where you need to figure out which monster to use on which stages. To finish it properly you need to use all the monsters and not stick to one iirc.
