Hey everybody,
First post here!
So I'm a usual in the KLOV forum and an arcade fan. I wanted to see what everybody here felt about converting RGB to HDMI, and how they went about it.
For instance, I have a supergun with a JROK video encoder and it works well with my Panasonic Viera Plasma TV and especially my JVS I'Arte CRT. All my PCB's work, except (of course)... Mortal Kombat with it's 53Hz refresh rate.
So I DO have the Gonbes 8200 and 8220 converter, which do NOT have the latest firmware update that jammaboards.com was selling them with - however when you *up* the vertical position passed 28, it works. Picture is not the best of course, and it is VERY VERY dark. I know the games are made this way, but it's unbearable on an LCD.
So, I want to ask everybody.. What is a great solution for taking the RGB, or S-video/Component video signals (espceially 50hz to 60hz refresh 240p) and converting it to output 480p or higher through HDMI? For a variety of PCB's
Would anybody recommend the DVDO iScan Pro? Or something? I know about the framemeister but I don't believe that it accepts 50hz 240p well.. Please provide input if possible! I will be searching through this forum in the meantime and see what I can find!

I use a supergun with a framemeister. It's perfect for the job
