vga 2 cga converters on MS2930 tri-sync monitor?

Post by todosnk »

Hello all,

I have a Hyperspin PC setup with a Geforce 750 2GB DDR5 from MSI via VGA.
I recently tried to plug it to my Sega Blast City (it has VGA connector), but I can't get the screen to be stable, it flickers from top to bottom, sometimes the image is doubled or even tripled.

So I was thinking to get an ArcadeVGA, which I know works perfectly on my tri-sync monitor (MS2930).
But then I will loose all the potential of my GPU card.

I have seen on arcadeforge that there are VGA to CGA converters, has anyone tried these? Will that work for my Geforce, converting any sort of VGA signal to a 15khz one (does it work even at 31khz?).

I think the issue in my cab is somehow related to Windows 7 and the Geforce card, obviously I would like to keep this card on my cab, but if there is no possibility, I will go then for the ArcadeVGA setup.

Any advise is greatly welcome :)

Thanks!
