6502 Assembler Recommendations

Post by atheistgod1999 »

So I just learned some 6502 assembly and I thought it would be cool to try making an (extremely basic) NES game or something. Problem is, all assemblers I'm finding are extremely old. Any recommendations for Windows 7 64-Bit? Also, any good tutorials for NES programming? I have an Everdrive N8 so I can test my work on real hardware.

I suggest asking this in Development section of the forums.

Of course the assemblers are old. How old is a 6502? My recommendation for Win7 64-bit is not using it. But if you like things that are overly complicated you might also like this http://mads.atari8.info/

WLA DX is ok. I use asmx as a bytecode assembler for some other stuff, I think it has a 6502 assembler.
