Aleste ReBirth would be godlike. If the same guys as Gradius ReBirth handled it, I bet they'd be able to work something magical with Compiles signature destructive weaponry and the more developed stage design they've demonstrated they can handle.

Even an easily-accessible Compile compilation would be neat, if only for historical purposes. Though I think I'd prefer M2 developing a Compile-inspired game, so we didn't get Compile-baggage with it.

M2 is the last saving grace of the JP games industry. I guess From Soft too, if that's your thing.

Atlus is mostly good, but they are a very wide ranging publisher so I can't really talk about them in the same way I would a developer like Falcom or Platinum.

This is interesting to me, I've only played(own) MUSHA and RoboAlesta, have always wanted to try some of the others though.

INB4 Despatche rolls in on the MUSHA-hate-wagon

Every now and then SE releases something amazing (DQ series, TWEWY, Tactics Ogre remake, Bravely) so while it's far from how they were in their glory days they're alright with me.

Also, very cool that M2 is making some moves in the genre lately!

Looks like it might just be some shoddy ports like some of the other ports of old games that have hit Steam (Raiden Legacy comes to mind)

Like other people have said, there's no reason to get hopes up since we don't even know what this is yet.

M2 isn't the same as DotEmu, though; M2's ports don't suck, for one.

You're right, there.
Then, Konami.
Spoiler
#FucKonami
Back on topic, I never really got into Super Aleste or MUSHA, but I'd surely give it a try if some decent port comes out. Shouldn't be too hard, and there's also M2's seal of quality.

I wonder if they plan to do a 3D port of MUSHA for 3DS like they did with other Genesis games. I read at nintendolife that some data was found with MUSHA listed in one of the 3D Classics games. It's a rumor, but at least a couple of the games listed (Power Drift, a couple of the SMS games, and Puyo Puyo Tsuu, if I remember correctly) ended up in the Sega 3D Classics Collection.

My ass M.U.S.H.A is getting back
Compile has fantastic output
None of their games are too different from Zanac so they re all worthy to collect
But if AM2 wants to make re-releases
They should give priority to the more obscure ones (Springgan\ Sylphia \Rude Breaker\Power Strike II\Zanac Neo) instead of freackin M.U.S.H.A
Because underated games would make a better comeback
Just like Shenmue III surprise

If AM2 wants to make a fully original game with the Aleste name wouldn t it be cool if the Darius level sellect pyramid was implemented
But why the hell does everyone pick ABDHLQ
Yeah I ve just lost my Darius virginity  last monday now i d love to see that giminck implemented in every shooter where stage personality matters
It would certainly fit the Compile shooters perfectly

I fully agree with this.

Think M2 cares more about Sega's games than the current Sega care themselves.

M2 does amazing work.

What ports have they done recently?
working on Dangun Feveron right now.

Futari on the 360 of course. They did the Sega classic compilations on the 360 and PS3 and they did the 3DS Sega Ages collection and the PS2 Ages2500 MD collections (like Phantasy Star or Gunstar Heroes Treasure Box). Also Fantasy Zone II DX of course (the System16 remake).

It's probably gonna be an Aleste collection. I really hope it's not just for games that explicitly say "Aleste", because nearly every Compile shooter plays like that regardless of the name on the box.

A new game might be cool if they did it right, but they really need to hire SFL people for it.

M2's SEGA Classics Collection came here recently with Power Drift and Puyo Puyo Tsuu. M2 managed to get Power Drift running at 60 FPS in 3D on the regular 3DS, a game emulators on more powerful hardware have a hard time with.

Charater Biographies

Game description like this

I am afraid we migth not see Gunhed again because of legal crap since Compile was barely credited
Are there more games wich in Compiled lost the rigths to the publisher?

Anxious to see how this works out. Aren't most of Compile's titles connected, however loosely, to the Aleste brand? Hopefully if it's a collection we get the Zanacs, Musha etc. too.

Excited. Didn't start getting into the Compile stuff until Zanac X Zanac had hit the upper double digits. Most everything compile is nuts now. Will be nice to get a crack at this stuff under more reasonable terms.

This means nothing, since it's not out yet.
Futari on the 360 of course. They did the Sega classic compilations on the 360
I think they pretty much had their work cut out for them on these since 360 was notoriously easy to port to for most stuff that could run (or be emulated) on Windows already or was made by CAVE. Saying "of course" for something that probably no more than 10% of users on this forum actually know sounds kinda silly. Also, where did you get the idea that they did Futari? I looked on the box and through the manual and there's no mention of M2 anywhere. Is it in the in-game credits? I'm not doubting it, I'm just not going to boot up the game just to check that.

I only played a few of these 3DS Sega ports and they were generally pretty good, but who knows, since I doubt whatever this Aleste thing is will come out for 3DS and certainly isn't coming out for PS2.

Probably got the idea from the massive M2 logo when you boot the game up...
