Presently having 240p issues on my monitor.
Every 240p source that I have tested presents the exact same issue (Whether it be playstation, n64, sfc etc) which, to be more descriptive, is a light vertical quivering of the picture and an entire picture flicker every 3 seconds.
I have uploaded a webm of the issue (Mind the quality and the camera automatically focusing in/out):
http://webmshare.com/play/YXrGG
The issue persists across RGBS, YPbPr, S-Video and composite.
480i works perfectly, as does every other signal. It is only 240p that is having this issue.
I had at first thought it to be a sync issue, and I have yet to try CSYNC, however I'm assuming it wouldn't make a difference considering Y/C had no discernible improvement when displaying 240p.
What I have noticed however, is the quivering gets less erratic if I were to reset the monitor while the console is on. Here is another webm of the n64 that I have reset the monitor whilst the console has been running (Filming by hand this time so excuse the unstable image, however its enough for the comparison):
http://webmshare.com/play/m7qBe
You'll notice how the shaking of the picture is more gradual this time.
If I were to reset the console instead while the monitor is on, it will output a more erratic picture as posted in the first webm.
Essentially I'm wanting to know if any other member here has run into the same problem?

Re: 240p Issues - Quivering image (Sync issue?)
That'd be a problem with your monitor, since it's happening with every console on every connection type. Have you tried a different monitor/device?

Re: 240p Issues - Quivering image (Sync issue?)
The consoles are connected directly to the monitor, there are no devices or processing in between.
Essentially I'm unsure as to why I receive a picture yet cannot get a stable sync. Hypothetically if this monitor weren't capable of displaying a 240p image, there wouldn't be an image on the screen in the first place. Not to mention that 480i has no issues.
I had heard specific Sony sets, and even Nec monitors cannot use composite or luma sync and require clean sync (But as for any more information on the topic, there doesn't seem to be any). Perhaps someone who owns a Nec XM29 can inform us as to what the picture looks like when you use composite video as sync instead of Csync?
